Counselling Empowers You to Change

It is my experience that long-lasting results can be achieved with counselling, which respects and empowers you as a person. In Narrative Counselling I endeavor to provide through conversations, a space where you can remove all the external pressures and clearly come to know and understand the elements that define you. In this process I can help you to become clear about what you really want, to see what you can already do, to work out what it is important to change or learn, and to identify how you are going to do it.

People often come to me when they are feeling that their life direction has become stuck. If you are in this situation counselling can help by shifting your perspective so that you can see clearly what your own personal resources are - strengths that you might have lost sight of, or perhaps not even be aware of. As someone outside your life I can guide you to explore your past stories from a broad perspective, helping you to see your life and yourself in a new light. Together we can identify how you historically dealt with trials and your methods of combat and defense, and what has brought you success and victory at other times. This knowledge can shift your perspective of the trials and be life changing, even in a single session.

My belief is that there are four parts that make up our entity – the body, the heart, the mind and the soul – We explore how these aspects of ourselves can exist in balance and harmony.

If you have a physical condition you possibly need immediate medicine. However, for a long-term solution to many of life’s problems, we explore uncovering what stirs your heart, resolving emotional issues which may be trapping you from the inside.

I am respectful to use compassion and understanding to engage in conversations that consider whatever spiritual beliefs you hold. Together we combine your inner beliefs to consider solutions that are easy for you to incorporate in order to make changes that will facilitate shifting your external world.

Couples Counselling

We were so confused. Reena helped us find clarity.

Every couples story and dynamics is unique. I will listen with care to your individual and shared experiences, both the wonderful and the difficult, to help you find a preferred way forward with each other.

Especially when you are going through periods of transition, chaos and confusion can be overwhelming. At these times relationship counselling can bring clarity and knowledge which can provide solace.

We will discuss the patterns that have worked for you as a couple and what attracted you to each other in the beginning. This often holds the keys to the “glue” of the relationship.
