Counsellor & Supervisor

If you are struggling with life transitions, migration issues, feeling stuck, anxiety, trauma, depression, behavioral and substance addictions, grief, stress and feeling overwhelmed, I would like to invite you to discuss how we can work together.  I believe for the therapy to be effective, the work should be holistic and include working with the emotions, cognitions and body as they are inter-connected.

Counselling Services

Welcome/Kia Ora

I support individuals and couples in their journey to discover what a rich, purposeful and meaningful life could look like. In the midst of being stuck, I can help you to focus on what’s happening for you in the present and explore ways in which you may make some movements towards your life goals.

This exploration will be done in a non-judgmental, safe, compassionate environment, so that what you are saying is heard, which often will evoke one’s own inner wisdom and healing (whole being). New ways and new skills of dealing with life issues will be explored eg communication, boundaries, managing difficult thoughts and emotions, grounding skills and working with the body, mindfulness.

If you are struggling with life transitions, migration issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioural and substance addictions, grief, stress and feeling overwhelmed and/or stuck, please call for a free conversation about how we can work together in a safe and respectful environment.

Counselling Approach

I work with multi modalities – CBT, ACT, Narrative, Client Centred Practice, Internal Family Systems, Systemic modality, Somatic Experiencing, solution focused brief therapy, am a Trained Brainspotting therapist and have experience in the mental health/addictions field. I believe that it is the engagement between the therapist and client which is most important, listening and paying attention to what you are saying and, to what is happening in the room in a non-judgmental, compassionate, caring and warm atmosphere.

Background and Experience

I have been working in the addictions field for more than 7 years (problem gambling and alcohol and drugs and related issues). In this field, the issues which I had worked with include trauma, life transitions, grief and loss, relationships issues, boundaries issues, communication issues, anxiety and depression, overwhelm and many more.

Supervision Services

I also provide supervision in areas relating to mental health/addictions issues and work/practice related issues.
