Need help to overcome obstacles your in life? I use an array of communication skills to provide counselling services that give you the tools for success. In addition to 1-on-1 consultations and group sessions, I regularly host workshops and seminars for people who are interested in developing new tools for coping.
Life throws many surprises at us, and while we cannot predict the outcome of any situation, we can take control of how we respond to certain situations. My job is to give you the tools and techniques to achieve a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle. The primary goal for counselling is that after several sessions, you will become well-versed at handling issues whenever and wherever they arise. My hope is that you will learn new things about yourself and develop tools that will help you throughout your life.
My preferred counseling techniques include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Positive Therapy or Positive Psychology (PT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), or Mindfulness. SFT and ACT tend to be best used for short term therapy or brief therapy (5 session or less) and are not suitable for all issues.
Your first appointment will consist of some paperwork and an initial assessment. We will get to know each other. It may take 1-2 session to develop a therapeutic plan that suits your needs and to choose a therapeutic modality or style. Hopefully, you will begin to feel some relief after the first 1-2 sessions.

Professional Supervision for: social workers, others working in "helping fields," and professionals. Usually this service is paid by your employer. A supervision session works much the same as a counselling session within the framework of your specific needs and goals for supervision. Typically supervision clients are seen monthly, unless otherwise required.
