Counselling/Therapy Services

Bridget offers individual face-to-face therapeutic support. This support can be short or long term, depending on individual need. Skype sessions are also available.

Therapy focuses on client strengths, resources, values and hopes as opposed to weaknesses, risks, and regrets to facilitate a more balanced understanding of the human experience.

Bridget's fundamental approach is to help clients understand themselves better, and to help clients find their own path to solve their difficulties. Personal empowerment, autonomy and independence are paramount.

Trauma-Sensitive Yoga
Bridget is also running trauma-sensitive yoga groups throughout 2018 with Sandra Palmer (Registered Psychologist and Yoga Teacher). These classes can be funded under ACC Sensitive Claims (ISSC) if you have an approved claim. Talk to your Lead Provider to request this. She is also available for individual sessions - please contact her directly to request these. The main objective of trauma-sensitive yoga is to use gentle yoga forms and movement in a safe space to help you notice what you feel in your body.
