Chris works with adults, adolescents and children 7 years plus.
She offers both short and longer term counselling, for issues that range from everyday life challenges to mild / moderate mental health problems, including anxiety and depression.
Chris has a warm, genuine and professional approach. She provides a supportive environment for you to address thoughts, feelings, patterns of behaviour and experiences that may be contributing to life problems or emotional distress.
Her goal is to help you to develop strategies and skills to work through your challenges and live a happier, more satisfying life. Learn techniques to challenge unhelpful thinking, calm your body and brain, develop better coping mechanisms, and implement problem-solving skills.
I have training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focus, Person Centred Therapy and Mindfulness. I use an integrative approach, tailoring each session to the individual’s needs.
I believe training and knowledge is super-important and valuable and I have an ongoing commitment to learning. But did you know research shows that it is your relationship with your therapist that is the key to successful therapy? You have to find someone that you feel comfortable with and can relate to.
You will find me warm, genuine, empathic and easy to talk to. I am very down to earth, accepting and experienced in life. Whatever challenges you are facing, I can tell you that working with a supportive professional really can help.
