One of the aims of counselling is to support you in addressing any unresolved issues and to help you understand your worries or concerns better. Many have found that counselling gives you a positive outlook in life. In counselling, the importance of ones’ culture and values are fully recognised, respected and taken into account throughout the counselling sessions.
Not one approach fits everyone and in my practice, this is recognized. As a counsellor, I work electively. I am trained in a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including: Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interactive Drawing Therapy (IDT) and Emotional Focus Therapy (EFT). In order to support your needs, the approach we use can vary. We will work together in a way that you feel works best for you.

To be effective, supervision is essential. Supervision is the art of meeting with one another and making an effort to construct more effective ways of helping others. Thus, it is a collaborative and supportive activity. My supervisory practice leans towards educational, supportive and a managerial focus.
