Jane Puckey

Psychotherapy for individual adults and couples.

Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

Counselling/Therapy Services

Life can be very hard, leaving us feeling stuck, overwhelmed and alone with our problems. At these times we can feel hurt or scared which makes the idea of talking about what is happening and then actually going to see someone really difficult. However, from experience I know that working through whatever problems you are going through with a sensitive, caring professional can bring about positive and long-term change.

Psychotherapy focuses both on your current circumstances and how your past relationship experiences now impact your life. My training involves helping you become more aware of your patterns (thought, beliefs, feelings and behaviours) and working with you to gradually adjust/alter what has been problematic – potentially giving you a new sense of confidence and aliveness in your life.

Counselling/Therapy Approach

I am warm, empathic, thoughtful, and will listen to you non-judgmentally. Primarily I draw upon my psychodynamic psychotherapy training, various other therapy modalities, along with my own life experience. Meaning that I focus on how your particular beliefs – stemming from important early relationship experiences – now no longer serve you. I offer both short term and long term psychotherapy depending on your needs.

Background and Experience

I have experience working with individual adults and couples of various ages, cultures and social backgrounds in various therapeutic settings.
