Therapy Services

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults, parents and families. I pride myself on providing warm, helpful, non-judgemental, and professional services to my clients. I focus on working with an individual’s strengths and needs, ensuring that the whole person including their family, culture and current situation is always considered. I support client’s to further understand and explore the interaction between their thoughts, feelings and behaviours to improve their mental health, relationships, ability to manage distress, and their overall quality of life.

I am passionate about early intervention and developmental psychology with a focus on empowering individual’s to make mindful, values-based changes.

Where can we see you?

Services can be provided in your own home, clinic setting or venue of your choice. I provide flexible hours which can include weekend and evening consultations if required.

Therapy Approach

I have specialist training in interventions strategies which research has proven to be, and several children and families have found to be, effective. These include cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution-focused therapy, family systems theory, and several parenting programs. I ensure the therapeutic approach used fits well with the individual client’s particular needs, circumstances and preferences.

About Me

I have worked in a range of public, private and non-government organisations such as, Paediatrics at Christchurch Hospital and Family Works, Presbyterian Support. I am experienced in the assessment and treatment of a range of psychological problems with infants, children, adolescents, parents and families.

Common presentations I have worked with include:

  • anxiety

  • mood related difficulties including depression
  • developmental disorders including autism and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

- $200.00 per session including GST.
- Subsidies available through WINZ for low wage earners and those with benefits.
- ACC funded sessions under certain contracts (i.e., physical injury).
