The therapy room is on a grass area to the left of the church building.


Working hours are 8.30 to 5.30 Monday to Friday.

Areas of Special Interest

Autism, Adult and late Adolescent Autism Diagnosis, relationship issues for couples and families, and attachment issues. Behavioural and emotional based interventions for people with ADHD, PTSD, Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Motor Stereotypies Disorder.


Counselling/Therapy Services

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT): is an effective therapy for depression and anxiety. The therapist and client work collaboratively to identify and solve negative thought and behaviour patterns. Coping strategies are taught to help prevent and manage distressing situations.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): is a structured therapeutic approach to assisting couples, based on the principles of attachment theory. It helps couples to identify their relational cycles, or what is going on for the couple when they are fighting.

Solution Focused Therapy (SFT): is a goal-directed, future orientated approach that focuses on solutions, rather than on the problems. This therapy assists the client by working towards their goals and their preferred future by using careful questioning and gentle strategies.

Positive Parenting Programme (Triple P):  covers the common causes of child behavioural or emotional problems, along with strategies for promoting positive behaviour and dealing effectively with misbehaviour.

Attachment Based Interventions: This type of therapy uses attachment theory where a person can explore, understand and then change their emotions and behaviours of significant others and how it impacts on themselves

Emotional and behavioural regulation. We also offer specialist attachment based parenting strategies (for infants, children and adolescents) and assistance to developing strategies for resilience, personal growth and general wellbeing.

Background and Experience

Dr Celia Falchi is a registered psychologist, a full member of the New Zealand Psychological Society, and an accredited service provider for ACC. She is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.Celia specialises in assisting Autistic adults and youth in how to navigate their way in a neuro-typical world. 

Dr Maria Ulloa is a registered intern psychologist with more than 20 years of experience working with vulnerable and severed traumatised children and adolescents using trauma based psychodynamic approaches combined with evidence based on neuroscience, and neuroplasticity. Maria specialises in attachment based therapies, infant-parent interventions and emotional regulation.
