Areas of Special Interest
Anxiety (including panic, social phobia, OCD, phobias and perfectionism), Depression and low mood, Life Transitions, Stress and time management. I have also worked with adolescents and young adults with psychosis and drug and alcohol problems.
I work from an approach of collaboration and non judgemental curiosity. Exploring emotions, thoughts and behaviour patterns. Seeking an understanding of how these patterns have developed and looking for more adaptive ways of coping.
An initial assessment is used to establish a formulation and a shared approach to treatment. I draw from well established and evidence based models of therapy.
My principle models of therapy are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Background and Experience
I have worked for the past 10 years in public mental health at a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). In that time I have worked in a general community team seeing young people presenting with anxiety, depression, mood instability, Aspergers, and other common mental health concerns. I also worked for sometime in an early intervention for psychosis team.
I have been working part-time in private practice in 2019.
