Counselling Services

If you feel stuck and lost in your sadness or life circumstance, it’s always good to talk.

Often people going through grief and loss, depression and anxiety, are poorly understood in our society.
People who see me feel encouraged, affirmed and validated wherever they may be in their journey.
I also gently challenge people to explore new avenues of personal development, bolster self-confidence and self-esteem, and to consider new concepts or ways of being.

I believe that a good therapeutic counselling relationship can really help to move people out of feeling stuck in negative emotions that are holding them back from experiencing life to the full.

Its a great privilege to be included in the support circle of people, I love to walk with people through their challenges, providing a safe and caring environment for change and growth.

Counselling Approach

I am Client-centred, and draw from a variety of counselling modalities including Client Centred Rogerian Practice, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychotherapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy for Individuals.

Background and Experience

I have personally gone through several major life events including caring for a terminally ill loved one, and navigating life beyond loss.
I have over 10 years experience working as a counsellor in a Pastoral Care team of a large Church, which involved supporting staff and congregation in a variety of situations.

I am now self-employed, which gives me the privilege of being able to be flexible and spend time with my grandchildren as well.
When I’m not counselling or looking after grandchildren, you’ll find me engaged in some creative pursuit, including sketching and gardening.

Looking forward to meeting you!
