Corsana Therapy

I offer a safe, held and confidential space for you to come and bring whatever you like without judgement. Let us explore together what draws you to seek support and help you to find a fuller living experience.

Areas of Special Interest

  • Meaning making
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Addiction (drugs, alcohol, food, sex, love, codependency, work etc)
  • Trauma through the practice of Somatic Experiencing (single event, complex)
  • Relationship Difficulties either individually or as a couple.

Therapy Services

Working at a pace and depth that is safe for you, we explore what brings you to therapy. You will experiencing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to do and say whatever you wish (subject to certain safety boundaries).

Often the connection with someone trained in holding space for another can be a most remarkably impactful experience and when that connection has been established we can start to explore in more depth the challenges you are facing.

That can mean examining your family of origin, your current relationship patterns and sometimes looking at the dynamic that has developed between the two of us to give us more information on how you are in the world in relationship with others.

Trauma of all descriptions can often be unprocessed – trauma is a word we can use to cover a variety of single events or ongoing subtle experiences that all impact how we see the world. Through a process of healing and ‘renegotiating’ these experiences, it is possible to live a fuller, happier existence.

Therapy Approach

My approach is that we spend 20 minutes or so with an initial consultation either in person or online. From there, we decide if we both feel we can work together and agree to meet (either in person or online) for a 50 minute session (alternative times are available). Sometimes the work can be short-term, sometimes it is long term. There is no ‘one size fits all’ for how I approach working with my clients and it is very much collaborative experience where a space is created for you to attune to your innate wisdom rather than me ‘fixing’ you or telling you what to do (neither of which provide any long term gains for you).

So come along and use the time you set aside for yourself to explore and play with making change.

Background and Experience

I have a background of working closely with artists (music) and over 15 years in addiction and eating issues however they present themselves. I trained in the UK and worked in the National Health Service and Private Practice there until I came to Aotearoa New Zealand 6 years ago. I am a trained NVC (nonviolent communication) mediator, a qualified Yoga Teacher and an Intermediate level trained Somatic Experience Practitioner.
