Areas of Special Interest
I take a creative, integrated, collaborative approach to working with individuals and groups. Specialising in the areas of self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, existential concerns, and career and life path choices.
I provide counselling, support, and mentoring services for navigating the emotional waves and challenges of daily life. I believe it is within these daily struggles and challenges of life that our most valuable opportunities for building deeper meaning, fulfillment and resilience can emerge.
Taking a strengths-based, humanistic approach to psychological health, I am committed to facilitating a safe and deeply accepting space for you to discover you own unique gifts, inner resources and wholeness, which you can then integrate consciously in to your life, creating more choice, emotional freedom, and flexibility, as you move forward on your chosen path.
The first meeting will involve getting to know you, your history, life experiences, and needs, in order to develop a unique therapeutic plan and specific goals aimed at supporting you towards living the life you truly want to live.

Background and Experience
My previous experience has involved working with adults and youth in a wide range of settings, including Youthline face to face counselling team, and as the residential Counselling Psychologist in an adult mental health residential setting. I have previously worked as a group facilitator for 'Mindfulness Works' (a mindfulness skills teaching course for adults), and also as facilitator for 'Mindsets' (a mindfulness and resiliency program for youth). Currently I work part time at Anxiety New Zealand Trust in Auckland, specialising in treating adults and adolescents with various anxiety conditions such as social anxiety, generalised anxiety, and OCD. My private practice work involves individual counselling, community groups, and workshops in the corporate and educational sectors.
I also offer supervision services to psychologists, counsellors, and other mental health professionals, based on psychodynamic and person-centred approaches which focus on providing space for you to reflect deeply on the interpersonal and intrapersonal dynamics at play within yourself and your clients.
This is influenced by my current training in Psychodrama Group Therapy work which helps me to understand the wider social forces at play, and the intricacies of working with individuals in an interpersonal way, within their social contexts and in groups.
