Areas of Special Interest
I have experience in working with: anxiety, depression, grief and loss, substance use and addiction, couples counselling, family therapy, adjustment difficulties, identity issues, LGBTQ+ related challenges.
I work with a range of people from a variety of backgrounds to help them flourish again.
I believe having a good and honest relationship with ourselves and others is the starting point for change. That’s what therapy provides, a space to talk honestly and openly about our feelings and problems as well as an opportunity to discover more about ourselves.
Sometimes all we need is to talk to someone to gain clarity and find an answer we were searching for and sometimes we need more. I bring skills to therapy to help you explore, understand, accept, and change. I believe we are complex beings and therefore work from an integrative and holistic therapeutic approach. I work with you as a person despite the challenges you face.
Therapy is also a two way street. Our therapeutic relationship is the catalyst for change. I reflect on this relationship and will share this with you.
My approach to therapy is integrative. This means I draw on a variety of therapeutic modalities to tailor sessions to your needs. I integrate components from a variety of therapies which include:
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
- Solution Focussed Therapy
- Transactional Analysis (TA)
- Gestalt Therapy
- Narrative Therapy
- Psychodynamic orientated therapies
Central to my therapeutic approach is our therapeutic relationship as for some clients it will be the first good relationship they ever encountered.

Background and Experience
My work experience ranges across different cultures, nationalities, sexual orientations and age ranges. Although a large portion of my work consists of seeing adult clients, I have experience in working with children and adolescents. Please enquire if you would like to know more about therapy for children and adolescents.
As a migrant to New Zealand I also understand the difficulties of moving from one country to another. Therapy is good place to explore the challenges of adapting to life in your new home.
I provide supervision from an integrative perspective.
