You are only one choice away from travelling down a new path. I offer a beautiful location to come and discover who you are, how you got here, and what may be holding you back from living your best life.
Although I enjoy working with a wide variety of individuals, I have a professional interest in working with clients that are yearning to navigate personal change mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
Many of us have a gut instinct that we are more than just a job title, and that we may even have a calling. We have been given the gift of life – therefore we are here for a reason. Sometimes taking the time to explore what we really want to do is a luxury we often don’t allow ourselves. I want to help you tap into discovering your true potential as well as feeling comfortable in your own skin – warts and all!
My private practice is based in the beautiful Hunua Ranges (near Papakura), and allows clients to experience not only counselling, but also offers the opportunity to connect with nature and be welcomed by our friendly crew of birds, pets, and wildlife.
My style of counselling is geared towards what the client feels will work best for them, as they are the experts of their own lives. We work this out together and concerns addressed might include:
We explore together where you have come from, any issues concerning you currently and how it has affected your life until now. We then explore together, in an open safe and honest environment, all the things you have been too afraid to say. I want to give you an opportunity to release the things that you have bottled up. Learning to listen to what our body, mind and soul is trying to tell us can be life changing! This supports healing and encourages the client to bloom into a person that is not afraid of what they see when they look in the mirror.
My aim is to help enable you to explore these things in a safe space where we are not just two people talking – but two souls sharing a very special experience.
I have come to counselling after a long career working for Schools, Healthcare providers and Not-for-Profit organisations. Whilst raising our daughters, I completed my Diploma in Naturopathy in 2004. This began my journey into holistic and complementary therapies. Becoming a counsellor was very much a calling for me after my children left the nest. I have loved both the challenges and rewards, and the people from many cultures, I have been privileged to work with.
