Corrina Hooper

Positive Psychology & Psychotherapy

We are Lee, Corrina and Bailey Hooper, a family-based team of mental health practitioners. Our mission is to promote personal growth, enhance well-being, and create authentic relationships.

Who I Work With

I work with children, adolescents, parents and adults on a range of different issues such as:

  • stress
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • aggression
  • trauma
  • grief/loss
  • phobias
  • bullying
  • identity
  • self-esteem
  • addiction
  • eating disorders
  • relationship issues

Children, Adolescents and Families

Every family has their own unique cultural climate which can be the foundation for joy, and also at times, stress. I work with individuals and their families to problem solve the challenges that get in the way of achieving harmonious and balanced relationships within the family context. During this process I provide an environment that is nurturing, supportive and respectful to ensure clients feel heard and understood.

Psychotherapy and counselling provides an opportunity to address the problems you want to change and expand your awareness to understand why you are in your position, how you got there, and where you actually want to be. Some of the benefits of therapy include, understanding the impact of your childhood on your current life, increasing self-awareness and self-esteem, reconnecting to feelings that have become inaccessible, developing emotional resilience and healthy thought patterns, finding meaning and purpose in life, expressing yourself in ways that bring joy and intimacy to your life, and creating meaningful relationships.

Counselling/Therapy Approach

I offer a range of services for children, adolescents, adults and families in a holistic and nurturing environment.

  • Individual Counselling and Psychotherapy (Solution-Focused, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Motivational Interviewing).
  • Family-Based Assessments and Behaviour Programmes
  • Positive Parenting Programmes
  • Dynamic Play & Sandplay Therapy
  • Drumming, Percussion & Art-Based Therapy
  • Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback
  • Animal-Assisted Therapy (available in 2021)
  • Group Programmes (9 – 12 year old children)
