Dr Ella Kroch

Registered Clinical Psychologist

Kia ora and welcome!

I am a registered clinical psychologist who works compassionately and collaboratively with adults (18+) experiencing a range of life challenges and mental health difficulties.

My approach to therapy:

I work in a warm, non-judgemental, and genuine manner, and strive to create a space where people feel safe to share their experiences, thoughts, and feelings. I am passionate about helping people learn about themselves, overcome feeling ‘stuck’, and develop practical skills and strategies – so that they can ride the waves of life with presence and a sense of resilience and purpose.

I use evidence-based treatment approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT), and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) to help people create meaningful change. I thoroughly enjoy learning, continuing my education, and keeping up to date with the psychological literature.

Life challenges I commonly work with:

  • worry and generalised anxiety disorder
  • health anxiety and hypochondriasis
  • stress and burnout
  • depression and low mood
  • questions around sexuality and gender identity
  • obsessive compulsive disorder
  • relationship and interpersonal difficulties
  • trauma
