Counselling Services

I have been working as a counselor for 25 years and strongly believe in the potential of people overcoming their biggest challenges in life. I have helped people through, loss, divorce, depression, anxiety and many other issues.

I have also worked extensively with youth, so I am experienced in identifying challenges you are having as a young adult or parent of teenagers.

Sometimes we are at a loss when dealing with certain behaviours and changes, this is where I can help you gain perspective and put strategies in place to help you regain confidence. With the service and support I provide, you can expect to be given tools to face life’s challenges better.

I believe listening is the most elementary of all counselling skills. Being fully heard is related to being fully known.

I use a range of counselling methods based on your needs:

  • Client-centered – focusing on you, and what’s important to you
  • ARPI model of counselling – action oriented method of counseling
  • Transactional Analysis – assisting people to understand their internal processes better

About Me

I discovered the benefits of counseling when I faced challenges in my own life in my late twenties. I know what it’s like to face issues head on and the opportunities that come from doing this. My journey has been revealing and life changing. I decided I wanted to use my experience to help others. I trained in counselling and have 25 years experience working with adults and youth in private practice and with youth line. I am committed to ongoing personal and professional development

I have four adult children and five grand children, which supports my ability to assist parents who are needing support.

My interest in people has always been a strong part of who I am. I love encouraging and supporting others.
