Gareth Minke (He/Him)

Counsellor, Peer Support, Peer Counselling

Kia ora,

My focus and passion is trauma work, I combine my work as a counsellor and peer support worker into the way I approach and direct my practice – focusing on the connection and understanding of the different world one has experienced despite any similarities, I, or others may have.

The tool kit of education and training I have may provide a blueprint to the means in achieving positive outcomes, whether that’s through my person/client-centred, narrative, CBT, or many other therapeutic approaches, but overall I find the individual to be the director of the end goal.

I offer support for sexual violence and abuse, depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, attachment, and relationship challenges. I support those over the age of 18, LGBTQIA+, takatāpui, and those in traditional & non-traditional partnerships.

It can be a big step to choose to reach out and seek help, so well done for getting this far! If you want to know more about me, like my background, style, and services I offer, or to check whether we would be a good fit, feel free to reach out to me by phone or email for a no-obligation chat.
