Counselling/Therapy Services

A collaborative, solution focused, brief therapy approach is suitable for most common psychological distress. Goals, set early in therapy, when achieved offer proof that therapy has been successful.

Counselling/Therapy Approach

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) as well as eye movement desensitisation and re-processing (EMDR) are the predominant evidence based therapies used by Greg. Skills offered and learnt during therapy offers the opportunity for clients to live the life they desire.

About Me

After an adult life lead owning and managing small businesses ranging from forestry services to early childhood education centres I had the opportunity to pursue tertiary education in my mid 40’s. I spent just under seven years studying at Auckland University of Technology completing my education with a 1500 hour internship at Community Alcohol and Drug, Kingsland, Auckland in 2012 when in my early 50’s.

At present I contract to the Northland District Health Board for one day a week working with the Community Mental Health Team based in Dargaville. The rest of my working week is spent supporting the survivors of sexual abuse, funded by the Accident Compensation Corporation as well as Employee assistance organisations and private clients.
