I enquire about the past, present and future to open up space for difference, create movement and instill hope. This inquiry challenges psychological rigidity and inspires psychological flexibility. Joanne Meldrum is a Counsellor, External Supervisor and Registered Psychiatric Nurse currently working for Counselling and Health Partners and Auckland District Health Board.

Joanne facilitates conversations that hold space for reflection and vulnerability, through consciously using emotional intelligence. Joanne does this through focusing on what is important and the developmental models of therapeutic change.

Supervision Services

I offer supervision to Counsellors, Nurses and other professionals based on a reflective learning model. Highlighting the functions of supervision, such as, restorative – promoting self-awareness, and well-being, formative – learning and development of therapeutic modalities and ideologies, normative – promoting professional and ethical conduct.

Supervision is a critical time of in-depth reflections to be had, focusing on the development of ethical practices and creating opportunities to reflect on personal and professional developments, ultimately enhancing job satisfaction.​
