Joanne Meldrum

Mental Health Counselling and Healthcare

I facilitate therapeutic conversations that develop self-awareness, by holding space for you to reflect, feel valued, and unpack your problem, situation, thoughts and feelings. I enquire about the past, present and future to open up space for difference, create movement and instill hope. This inquiry challenges psychological rigidity and inspires psychological flexibility. With the aim to strengthen self-awareness and a sense of agency, and the goal to understand what is important, what you accord value to and what connects you to self and others.

I work with you to unpack problems, reclaim value and acknowledge the effects, and symptoms of:

  • distraction
  • avoidance
  • feeling uncomfortable in relationships with self/others
  • addictions
  • loneliness
  • anxiety
  • panic disorders
  • bipolar disorder
  • moods
  • anger
  • homicidal ideation/violence
  • depression
  • suicidal ideation
  • trauma
  • personality traits/disorders
  • self-protective behaviours and thought patterns
  • physical and sexual health issues
  • psychosis
