My approach is solution-based rather than problem-focused. I favour a brief intervention approach rather than long-term therapy.
We can all get caught up in life-limiting stories about ourselves and our future. Sometimes it feels easier to stay stuck than to change. As a narrative therapist I believe that these stories can be challenged, and we can have the future we want and are entitled to. Let me support you as you take this journey.
I am a pakeha counsellor with over thirty years experience, familiar with working with individuals and couples. I have worked as a private counsellor and with a number of social services. For the past thirteen years, before moving to Kerikeri, I was a counsellor at Student Health Services, Auckland University.
I have extensive professional supervisory experience. I work from a strength-based Narrative therapy approach.
