Luba Kabanov

Registered Psychotherapist

Committed to supporting individuals in their journey to wellbeing

What we can work together on

  • Desire to change
  • Feeling more balanced and at peace
  • Relationship struggles (personal and professional)
  • Feeling stressed and burnt out
  • Self-worth struggles
  • Adjusting to COVID-19 reality
  • Immigration transitions
  • Fertility challenges

I believe the fit between therapist and client is important; this is why I offer a free 15-minute online consultation so that you can get a feel of how we might work together. You can ask any questions you might have and we can decide whether we are a good fit.

About me and how I work

I am a clinically trained psychotherapist based in Auckland. I work in a relational way with the use of attachment theory, mindfulness and existential psychotherapy. I believe that our past affects our present and since as children we developed in relationships with important others, the way we can change is also through a relationship.

I think of myself as a guide in your journey towards yourself, walking alongside you helping to illuminate spots that you have not thought of looking at. In my presence, without the need to conform to a certain image or the fear of being judged, you will have a space where all the outside noise stops and you can hear yourself.

I mainly practice long term psychotherapy since it takes time to unlearn our unhelpful thoughts, ideas and behaviours.
