Life can feel like a series of storms battering and pushing us about. At times we need a safe harbour to take rest, heal any injuries, build our resources and plan a new direction.

It is natural and normal to go through difficult times of feeling overwhelmed, alone or stuck. Many experiences in our lives have an impact on our well-being, such as work pressures, family and relationship challenges, loss, trauma, abuse, and unmet needs in childhood. Each one of us will be affected differently. I provide a safe space for you to feel supported and cared for while processing difficult experiences and emotions.

I can help you:

  • develop communication skills
  • improve relationships
  • find purpose and clarity in your life direction
  • develop tools to manage your thoughts and emotions
  • create new behaviors to change old patterns
  • heal past experiences
  • increase your well-being
  • move forward in your life with confidence

My areas of specialty include:

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • grief
  • trauma
  • communication
  • emotional reactivity
  • self-esteem
  • achieving goals and enjoying life
  • Mindfulness-Based therapy

My Counselling Approach

I bring a sensitive and intuitive approach to counselling, that is authentic, non-judgemental and empathetic.

The therapeutic framework I work from is Person-Centred, which understands that each person is unique. Therefore, I draw upon a number of counselling methods to tailor to your specific needs. I believe you are the expert in your life and I trust in your innate wisdom. Together, in partnership, we uncover what will work best for you to achieve your goals for counselling.

Background and Experience

I have worked with adults from all age groups, with a variety of backgrounds, cultures and spirituality. I have worked in community organisations including Hospice, Community Friendship House and I am currently working in a family orientated organisation specialising in therapy for survivors of family abuse.
