Monique

Wildflower Wairua

Kia ora, my name is Monique.

I have been working in the sector of trauma over the past 11 years in Aotearoa and overseas. I have held a number of counselling positions, in government, health, legal services, victims services, mental health, non-profit sectors and charities. While overseas, I was part of a team which influenced legislative change for vulnerable communities.

I am very down-to-earth, light-hearted, with a sense of humour, and positive energy.

As a trauma specialist counsellor, I create a safe space for people to share their experiences and explore options that best suit their lives. I specialise in trauma, domestic and sexual violence, using a strengths-based approach, while practicing from a position of belief.

If you like to know more or make an appointment, feel free to contact me. Monique.
