Online Sessions to Support Counsellors who are new to Couples Work

Gail Bartlett-Harris Relationship Counselling

I am running a set of 4 sessions (monthly) to help beginning counsellors and/or counsellors new to couples work. The aim of this is to offer some support and strategies. This will take on the feel of training/supervision.

For counsellors who mostly do individual work but find themselves occasionally seeing couples, it can be difficult to grow confidence and skills without devoting to full couples work training. My aim is to try to fill the gap by offering some of my experience in a supportive way.

Cost: per session is $45 per session.

When: I envisage each session to last around an hour and a quarter. We will have 4 sessions online initially (one per month) and decide after this is if we want to shape any continuance. Commitment to all four sessions is required.

Q Is this for experienced Couples Counsellors?

Q Does this replace my regular supervision?

Q Will I get a certificate?

No. However it can be added to your Professional Development.

Q What modality do you use?

I use an eclectic mix. I have done training in Narrative, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman, Solution Focused and several other modalities. My strength in the room however, is rapport building ,holding emotion and encouraging experiential change for couples.
