Counselling Approach

When counselling, I always begin from a place of warmth, empathy and thoughtfulness. My approach is client-centred and I follow an integrative model which allows me to use a range of therapeutic approaches to work effectively to meet your needs.

A significant part of my self-development as a counsellor has been my own spiritual development and meditation practice. This has strengthened my ability to understand you at a deeper level and be truly present for you.

I am experienced in both short term and long term therapy and we would start with what has brought you to counselling to better understand your needs and clarify your goals. I truly enjoy my work and being able to help you achieve the change you desire.

Background and Experience

During my 15 years as a counsellor I have provided counselling services to adults, couples, teens, and families on a wide range of issues. I have also worked in a large high school with socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic diversity, and a range of clients from students to school management.

Supervision Services

I provide supervision to both experienced and new counsellors, and particularly enjoy working with and providing support to school counsellors.

I create a psychologically safe space for professionals to explore challenging areas of practise such as ethical dilemmas, unconscious bias, work place dynamics, as well as placing emphasis on celebrating successes and maintaining self-care. My style of supervision is supportive and balanced and growth oriented.
