Counsellor/ Psychotherapist/Psychologist wanted for Auckland CBD

Your Focus Ltd is looking for an experienced practitioner to provide counselling/therapy services in the CBD. We have more referrals than we can manage. There is the option to receive referrals in your existing office or to sublet ours for 1-2 days with the opportunity to build up.

Are you:
  • ACC registered or want to be and need some support to become registered.
  • Do you want support to build a practice?
  • Are you experienced and fully qualified and have full registration with a professional body? (We are particularly interested in therapists who are trained in EMDR or are wanting to train in EMDR.)
You will receive:
  • Support with client referrals, ACC support, advertising, the use of a stylish central city office within the Heritage Hotel, Hobson Street.
  • We have an abundance of referrals and requests for private, ACC and EAP counselling.

Counsellor: Students and Alumni, Massey University Wellington

Do you want to make a positive difference for our student population? Are you or have you been in the education or related sector? If you have a passion for improving educational achievement for all learners, and are enthusiastic and committed to building collaborative relationships, we could have a role for you. Massey University Counselling Service currently have an opportunity for an experienced student counsellor/mental health professional to join us on the Wellington Campus full-time.

Key responsibilities include the following:
  • A collaborative approach to working in and across teams
  • Conduct initial risk assessment to support well-being and safety of students
  • Provide professional counselling support and services to students using a brief intervention therapy framework
  • Provide information and training to University students on topics of mental health and wellbeing
  • Actively participate in quality assurance and feedback processes at an individual and team level
  • Provision of guidance to teaching staff and other employees regarding the identification of students with personal or other issues needing support
  • Provide emergency assistance and support for students who are in a personal crisis situation
  • Liaise with, refer to, and work in close consultation with academic and professional staff, community organisations to ensure students are consistently and appropriately supported throughout their university experience
  • The employment setting will involve work with people across the lifespan and applicants will be required to comply with the requirements of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and the Vulnerable Children (Requirements for Safety Checks of Children's Workers) Regulations 2015.
As the successful applicant you will be part of a collaborative and multi-disciplinary Health team, provide counselling to a diverse student population, working at times, in challenging and complex contexts. You will have demonstrated experience working across the lifespan, particularly the 18-25 year old age group. Those with experience with Tangata Whaiora and kaupapa Maori models of health will be a distinct advantage.

HEART Counselling is a Waikato based counselling agency supporting people, through challenges and difficult times. We currently offer counselling to children, youth, adults, couples as well as facilitating groups for people affected by issues such as family violence and addiction. Our counsellors can choose to work from their own location, or ours, giving clients more choice and making our service more accessible.

We are looking for qualified and skilled counsellors to join our network in the Waikato. This contract suits people looking to grow their private practice or supplement their current income with a few weekly sessions. We offer ongoing admin support, promotional material and peer supervision.
