AnnouncementCeit is a registered psychotherapist and Accredited EMDR Practitioner based on the Kāpiti Coast. She is a co-founder of the Kāpiti EMDR & Therapy Centre and Director of Group EMDR Aotearoa. Her background is working primarily with women, young people and their families.
Ceit is in private practice specialising in trauma recovery and EMDR Therapy. Trauma may not always present as a single big incident, but may also be developmental, attachment or accumulative events that have left a negative impact on your wellbeing. Ceit’s style is warm and relational, and she recognises that providing a safe therapeutic relationship is key to a successful therapy and trauma recovery.
Ceit works with both individuals and groups on their trauma recovery journey. She has co-developed a Group EMDR Therapy model for sexual violence survivors, which has been published in Aotearoa and internationally. Outside of the therapy room, Ceit enjoys yoga, gardening and our beautiful beaches on the coast.

Individual Therapy
Ceit provides short, medium and long-term individual psychotherapy. She is committed to supporting her clients to achieve their therapy goals, change and transformation in their lives.
Group Therapy
Ceit is the Director of EMDR Group Therapy Aotearoa and a Group EMDR therapist. EMDR Group Therapy may be self-funded or fully subsidised with an approved ACC Sensitive Claim. For more information on EMDR Groups, please see groupemdr.co.nz.
Supervision
Ceit provides professional supervision for a range of disciplines in the health and social services sector. Ceit's relational approach focusses on the supervisor/practitioner relationship to enhance safe clinical practice and practitioner wellbeing.
