I have experience working with clients across the lifespan, in a range of settings including private practice and community mental health services. I’m someone who builds rapport easily and relates well to people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds.

My role is to support you in exploring your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors within a confidential and compassionate space. If you’re seeking relief from distressing symptoms or looking to better understand yourself, I aim to provide a safe and supportive environment where meaningful change can take place.

My Counselling Approach

Every person is unique. While I draw on a variety of therapeutic modalities, I tailor my approach to suit your unique personality and needs. No matter what you bring I will offer a warm, attentive and sensitive environment for you to talk with me in.

I integrate a variety of counselling approaches and strategies. These are Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MCBT), Solution Focused Therapy; Narrative Therapy; Strengths-based approach, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other bits and pieces from various therapy models.

Q Registration and memberships

- Provisional Member New Zealand Association of Counsellors (ProvMNZAC)
and I hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APA)

Q Qualifications

- Bachelor of Health Science in Counselling
- Certified: ASSIST suicide prevention

Q Appointments

In person, online and phone appointments are available Monday to Friday 8.00 - 3.30pm.

Q Fees

- In person, online and telephone counselling:
- Adults (18+)
- $140 per 50 min session

Q How many sessions will I need?

- It will depend on your unique life situation. I normally recommend 3 sessions to start with and then to re-evaluate your progress. Some people do well with only a few sessions while others may need a bit more support. Others may need long-term counselling and return on and off over some years.

- However, this is your decision to make. We will discuss your progress as we go along to make sure that you are happy with the outcome of your counselling and the progress you are making.
