Tēnā koe, I am a registered creative arts therapist based in Wellington. I bring a person-centred, humanistic approach to my work, supporting you to explore and express your experiences through creative processes. I believe you are the expert of your own life, and therapy is a space where you can feel seen, heard, and empowered in your healing journey.
Arts therapy uses creative activities such as visual art, movement, poetry, drama, and sound as forms of expression and communication. Whatever the modality, I am here to hold space for whatever unfolds.
My experience spans acute mental health settings, community organisations, and school environments, where I’ve facilitated group and one-on-one sessions with children, youth, and adults. These diverse spaces have helped shape a grounded, flexible approach, always rooted in compassion and collaboration.
As a teen, I experienced my own mental health struggles, so I am passionate about using the arts to help others work through their own struggles. I understand how vital it is to be treated with compassion, respect and dignity.
Working inclusively is important to me, and I seek out professional development opportunities which help me to better embody Tangata Tiriti as well as maintain a good understanding of neurodiverse and rainbow groups. I work in ways that are realistic, approachable, and informed by both clinical knowledge and lived experience.

Not at all. Art therapy is about self-expression and exploration, not artistic ability. You don’t need any prior experience or skill in art, just a willingness to engage in the creative process. The focus is on what the art means to you, not how it looks.
