My name is Zoe and from both personal and professional experience, I understand the complexities of navigating a world that feels like it isn’t meant to fit you. This experience drives me in supporting clients to grow and deepen their relationships- with the world around them, the people they care about, and (most importantly) with themselves.
As a trans and queer woman, as well as late diagnosed neurodiverse, my various identities help me stay culturally informed, culturally sensitive, and committed to practicing in a safe and inclusive way. Especially for my queer and trans clients, my own lived experiences means you won’t have to do the job of educating me on the basics before we can get onto the real work.
You’ll find a safe, respectful space to explore your experiences, at your pace. Sessions are built around what you want, not to fit some theoretical framework of how things “should work”.
We’ll work together to clarify your values, develop self-awareness, and build tools that support your growth. You’re the expert in your life — I’m here to walk beside you.
And, while therapy can involve serious topics, I don’t believe it has to be grim! There is room for humour, playfulness and I appreciate hearing a dark joke or two.
My background centres on pluralistic and person centered counselling techniques, and I draw on a range of modalities including ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Te Whare Tapa Whā, and Narrative Therapy. I am also comitted to practing from a decolonial perspective and with the values of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
You can text me at 020 452 5171 or email [email protected] and I will do my best to reply in a timely fashion! Please get in touch, it may be tough out there, but you don’t have to do it alone! 🙂
