Grounded Grace Counselling

Kia ora, I’m Saxon from Grounded Grace Counselling.

I support people who are carrying heavy stories—addiction, trauma, grief, anxiety, relationship struggles, or the sense of feeling “different” and disconnected. My approach is grounded, non-judgmental, and centered on helping you feel safe enough to breathe, unpack and make sense of what’s happening inside.

At Grounded Grace, counselling isn’t just talking. It’s slowing down your nervous system, reconnecting you with your body, and understanding the patterns that have been running your life. I use a blend of somatic therapy, trauma-informed practice, and addiction expertise to help you stabilise, build emotional regulation, and strengthen your sense of self.

I help you:

  • Untangle overwhelming emotions
  • Heal the inner critic and old attachment wounds
  • Navigate early sobriety or long-term recovery
  • Process grief and life transitions
  • Rebuild confidence, clarity, and your relationship with yourself
  • Create new pathways for calm, safety, and grounded strength

Whether you’ve spent years looking after everyone else, or you’re at a point where something simply has to change, you don’t have to do it alone. Together, we move at your pace—gently, honestly, and with real care.
