Ceit is a registered psychotherapist and Accredited EMDR therapist, and her specialty area is trauma. Trauma can affect many aspects of life, including relationships, self-esteem, self-regulation and a sense of safety in the world.
Whether you are navigating the impact of childhood experiences, relationship trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, or the effects of a single distressing event, Ceit is committed to working collaboratively with you towards your therapy goals, and supporting you on your trauma recovery journey with a warm and relational approach.
Ceit has been working as a therapist on the Kāpiti Coast since 2014. She is a co-founder of the Kāpiti EMDR & Therapy Centre and co-director of EMDR Group Therapy Aotearoa.
Her approach to therapy is warm and relational, and she recognises that providing a safe therapeutic relationship is key to a successful therapy and trauma recovery.
Ceit has previously worked as a therapist for a local women’s health collective, an NGO specializing in young people and their families, a postnatal distress service, an international online mental health platform and is currently in private practice. She has co-developed an EMDR Group Therapy model for sexual violence survivors and offers training and consultation on this model for clinicians in Aotearoa and internationally.
Ceit loves EMDR and the positive outcomes her clients have achieved through this therapy, and is committed to supporting her clients to create change and transformation in their lives.

Ceit offers short, medium and long term psychotherapy. Her main approach is Transactional Analysis psychotherapy (TA) and EMDR. She recognises the value of a safe therapeutic relationship as key to trauma recovery and a successful therapy, and is committed to building a strong working relationship with her clients.
Ceit is the Co-Director of EMDR Group Therapy Aotearoa and offers EMDR Group Therapy in six week programmes throughout the year as well as online drop-in groups for clinicians and mental health workers.
