Michelle Blyde

Registered Psychotherapist

Hi, I’m Michelle, a psychotherapist based in Albany. When life doesn’t go to plan, it can leave you feeling depressed, anxious and overwhelmed. It can be hard to know where to turn, but you don’t have to go through it alone. I offer a safe space where you can feel supported and understood as you make sense of your experiences, allowing you to make meaningful changes in your life.

My therapeutic style integrates psychodynamic, relational, and emotion-focused. I draw on my own life experience and professional training, helping clients to explore painful emotions, understand their unconscious and relational patterns, and to get to know themselves again.

I have a particular passion for supporting adults whose intimate relationships are eroding their confidence or sense of self. Emotional abuse can be subtle and confusing, so I work gently to help clients understand complicated relationship dynamics. We are relational beings, which means a therapeutic, collaborative relationship is, in itself, a powerful space for healing. My clients have told me they feel safe, understood, and comfortable.

I am warm, compassionate, and genuinely curious about who you are.
