Grey Wolf Creative Arts Therapy

Kia ora,

I am a clinical arts therapist, and I work in holistic, client-centred ways, using the innate potential of the creative arts to support your journey. I offer relational, trauma-informed, and neuro-affirming creative arts therapy to young people, and adults.

My practice centres emotional and physical safety, choice, and collaboration, supporting people who may be navigating trauma, displacement, loss, or significant life transitions through the arts.

I am also really happy to work with the well-known tools of talk therapy. You lead the way, and I will journey alongside, offering support, deep listening, creativity, and a space to just be.

FAQs

Q What is Creative Arts Therapy?

- As a Clinical Creative Arts Therapist, I work holistically with the client, using art, media and the creative process (drawing, writing, sculpting, drama, clay, sand, dance and movement) to facilitate the exploration of feelings, improve self-awareness and reduce anxiety.
- Creative processes can be a way for clients to explore and express feelings that may be hard to put into words and to find new pathways to healing.
- A Creative Arts Therapy session is therefore quite different to an art class or lesson. I am happy to talk, with the added bonus of the rich and innate power of the creative arts should we want to work in that way.

Q Is Creative Arts Therapy just for children?

- No, the arts are for everybody, and you don't need any materials or any experience to try it.
- Sessions are tailored to your needs and we go at your pace and comfort level. Think of the creative arts as an intriguing shelf full of possibilities should you grow curious and want to see how they may support your journey.
