Ingrid Purcell – Registered Counsellor & Addictions Practitioner

Caring Compassionate Counselling & Addiction Support

Talofa lava, Kia orana, and Warm greetings.

My name is Ingrid, I am a NZ-born Samoan/Cook Island Counsellor and Practitioner with 15 years of counselling practice and facilitation experience.

I have worked extensively alongside tangata whai ora and Pasifika communities, including some of our most marginalised whānau, supporting individuals through complex life challenges with compassion, respect, and cultural understanding.

My specialist areas include:

  • Drug and Alcohol addiction
  • Behavioural addictions
  • Mental wellbeing and Emotional support
  • Grief and Loss
  • Trauma-informed care
  • Culturally responsive counselling
  • Holistic and Strengths-based support

I have experience in various psychological and counselling modalities but overall my approach is person-centred, meaning I work collaboratively with you in a safe, non-judgmental space where your lived experience, values and goals are honoured.

Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your whānau, or someone you care about, you do not have to navigate the journey alone.

Healing begins with connection.

Get in touch today – I offer a free 15min initial phone consultation to discuss how we may best work together.  Counselling sessions can be in person, phone or online.
