Lorena Talagi Psychotherapy

Kia Ora, I’m a registered psychotherapist based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland.

I welcome adults from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, and often work alongside people who are:

  • Navigating stress, anxiety or low mood.
  • Recovering from trauma, grief or significant life changes.
  • Exploring identity, self-worth and belonging.
  • Navigating cultural identity, bicultural or multicultural experiences.
  • Exploring sexuality, gender and LGBTQIA+ experiences.
  • Living at the intersection of culture, identity and sexuality.
  • Working through relationship or family challenges.
  • Managing workplace stress, burnout or leadership responsibilities.
  • Working in caring professions such as education, health or social services.
  • Recovering following mental health challenges or periods of instability.
  • Seeking greater self-understanding and personal growth.
  • Wanting to develop healthier relationships with themselves and others.

As a Niuean practitioner in Aotearoa New Zealand, I value creating a therapeutic space that is culturally responsive.

My approach is grounded in relational psychotherapy, which means I see healing as something that develops within safe, respectful and authentic relationships. Together, we can explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you, developing a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships and the patterns that may be shaping your life.

I offer individual psychotherapy for adults, with appointments available in person and online. Weekly and fortnightly appointments are available, with a sliding scale fee to support accessibility.

If you’re wondering whether we might be the right fit, I invite you to get in touch.
