Whether you are just out of school or an expert in an established field having to make a change in the job market, I will help you assess your experience, motivators, skills and options, so you can make your next career move. Careers are changing with new ones evolving and others facing fading opportunities. We will work together to discover and clarify your future work, to get you to where you want to be.
Services offered in Career Counselling
CareerEQ Intelligence Assessment: will help you create the change you want in your working life. Assess your values, career motivators, fields of work, skills you want to utilise, and your work competencies. With this comprehensive information you can set goals and objectives for career sustainability, and professional development.
CareerSmart: a career tool for young people 15-24 years, including secondary and university students. Combined with coaching is a useful start to exploring ideas for your future work. Making study, career and work options is hard, at the best of times, and this assessment will help the process of making these choices easier for you.
Counselling: in relation to your life situation and objectives in choosing a career.
Interview Coaching: job search coaching and preparation for your career change can also be a part of your needs and I work with you on the components you need most, taking your current situation into account.
Career Experience
I have sixteen years experience working in government, in Career Services Advise line, NGO’s and private businesses on Ministry of Social Development contracts both in face to face, phone advise and on line chat. Prior to that I was a classroom teacher in New Zealand schools.
I have run my own business CareerWise for ten years, assisting both mature adults and students leaving school.
