Dr Adrienne Bartle

Clinical Psychologist

I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.  I started my career in teaching then as a Psychologist with the Ministry of Education supporting families and teachers in managing children and young people with special needs and ‘severe and challenging behaviours’.  In 2004 I returned to University to study Clinical Psychology and have been working with individuals, couples, families and groups in both the public and private sectors since then.

I have expertise working with a diverse range of individuals, couples and families who are struggling with the demands of modern daily living and the challenges this presents.  I believe in providing a respectful, trusting, safe environment that will empower and support you as you develop self-awareness, understanding, acceptance and skills to help you live a meaningful life.

I use a collaborative, relational approach tailored to meet the specific, individual needs of my clients based on different modes of therapy including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Focussed Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solutions Focussed Therapy, Schema Therapy and Cognitive Analytical Therapy.

I am accredited to work with clients for ACC and am a specialist report writer, therapist and expert witness for the Family Court.
