The New Zealand Association of Counsellors – NZAC – describes counselling as “a professional, confidential, and supportive process where a trained counsellor helps people work through personal, emotional, psychological issues in a safe and non-judgmental environment. The aim of counselling is to help people better understand themselves, cope with difficulties, make positive changes, and improve their overall wellbeing”.
At Speakeasy Counselling, I help provide support, encouragement, and space for you to develop clarity and a meaningful vision for your life. Reconnecting with your values and what matters most to you.
I offer a safe, supportive, and dedicated space to explore your goals, dreams, values, purpose, and passions. I am registered with the NZ Association of Counsellors – Te Roopu Kaiwhiriwhiri o Aotearoa – and abide by NZAC Code of Ethical standards of practice.
Together, we can focus on whatever area of your life is calling for attention—whether that is work, relationships, parenting, stress, self-care, life balance, hobbies, personal growth, abundance, or spirituality. I believe you already have the answers inside you. Counselling helps you connect to your inner guidance and take actions that support your life journey.
Perhaps it’s time to challenge unhelpful beliefs and behaviours that no longer serve you. Or perhaps time to explore your deepest values and let them guide your direction, coming from a place of deepening authenticity and meaning. I like to work holistically, exploring how the mind-body connection can bring greater awareness to the issues in your life.
