Child & Teen Counsellor

Helping you feel heard, understood and supported.

Everyone faces challenges at times. You may feel overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or unsure how to move forward. You don’t have to navigate these experiences alone.

I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore what you’re experiencing, develop practical coping strategies and work towards positive change at your own pace.

🌿 Who I work with

  • Children and teenagers experiencing emotional, behavioural or school-related challenges.
  • Adults navigating personal difficulties, relationships, stress or life changes.
  • Individuals and families seeking greater understanding, connection and healthier ways of coping.

With more than 20 years of experience working with children and young people, I understand the importance of feeling safe, respected and genuinely heard.

💚 How I can help

I support clients experiencing challenges such as:

  • ADHD and related emotional or everyday challenges
  • Anxiety, low mood and depression
  • Trauma and abuse-related experiences
  • Emotional regulation and behavioural difficulties
  • Self-esteem, confidence and relationships
  • Stress, burnout and difficult life transitions
  • Crisis support and overwhelming experiences
  • Coping skills, resilience and personal growth

🌱 My approach

Every person is different, so counselling should be tailored to your needs.

My approach is person-centred, compassionate and practical, drawing on:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • DBT-informed skills for emotional regulation and coping
  • Strengths-based strategies that build on your existing abilities and resilience

Together, we can explore what’s happening, recognise patterns, develop new skills and identify realistic steps forward.

🧡 A supportive space for young people

When working with children and teenagers, I aim to create an environment where they feel comfortable expressing themselves without fear of judgement. Where appropriate, I collaborate with parents and caregivers while respecting young people’s privacy and explaining confidentiality boundaries.

✨ Taking the first step

You don’t need to be in crisis or have all the answers to seek counselling. Sometimes, having someone listen and help you make sense of things can be a meaningful place to start.

You deserve to feel heard, supported and understood.
