Therapy Services

I work with adults who are hoping to gain more clarity and meaning in both their inner and outer lives. Therapy provides a space in which your experiences and emotional life can be heard more fully than is often possible elsewhere. Coming to know yourself and your way of being in relationship more clearly offers you more agency in finding new and more fulfilling possibilities.

Psychotherapy can be deeply helpful in making sense of and shifting the various things that can leave us feeling restricted, anxious, or numbed within our lives. I work with my clients not only to address acute and painful challenges that life may face us with, but also to expand a sense of meaning and richness in everyday life. I enjoy working with clients from a range of social and cultural backgrounds and welcome clients from the LGBTQIA+ community.

I feel that a good match between client and therapist is important for you to gain the most from your therapy experience. Please feel free to send me an email to enquire about the process of beginning therapy, or to arrange an initial appointment in which we can explore what it might look like to work together.

Therapy Approach

I utilise a Psychodynamic Psychotherapy approach and integrate Psychoanalytic and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) lenses, as useful to the specific needs of my clients.

Background and Experience

I have experience working with diverse clients to address a range of issues including grief and loss, anxiety, relationship breakdown, intimacy, anger, sexuality and gender identity, depression, disruptive mood changes, self-defeating behaviour, perfectionism, trauma, self-esteem, spirituality and personal meaning and purpose. I have experience working with individuals in private practice, as well as with individuals and groups within the Auckland District Health Board for the specialist psychotherapy service Segar House Rauaroha.
