WHAT IS PSYCHOTHERAPY, WHAT IS COUNSELLING?
Counselling is a way of coming to understand better a particular issue or situation.
Psychotherapy can help you gain a more comprehensive understanding of yourself, your thoughts, feelings and actions and can be more helpful for longer standing and more complex issues. Understanding the patterns that have dominated you, often without your realising it, can bring the possibility of choice and change. In sessions you can talk about whatever is on your mind. Together we will seek to discover what makes you who you are. Our work will help you to explore your thoughts, make connections and suggest meanings that you might not have discovered for yourself. As you continue over time you may begin to see yourself in a new light and start a process of change.
WHO IS IT FOR?

You can contact me by email
or by leaving me a message on (021) 0292 9002. I will respond to you as soon as I can to arrange an initial consultation. It is usually useful to meet twice to discuss what is concerning you. I can then recommend what might be helpful. It is also an opportunity for you to consider if I might be of help to you. The fee for 50 minute sessions is $150 (including GST). I am also an ACC registered counsellor
for people dealing with issues emanating from sexual abuse or rape.
