Counselling/Therapy Services

Is your job taking a toll on your happiness and well-being? Are you struggling to get your career off the ground? Were you overlooked for a promotion? Or maybe looking to move out of a work situation that has become toxic or stagnant, and is not giving you the satisfaction and fulfillment you deserve.

Work plays an increasing part on our well-being in an increasingly competitive global environment. More than just a means to survive financially, your job is your chance to make an authentic contribution to society during your short time on this planet- and life is too short to put up with workplace situations that are taking more than they give!

Take a step towards greater well-being in your life by finding greater direction and clarity in your work life. Uncover unconscious beliefs and biases that may be holding you back. Learn behavioural strategies to manage trying workplace situations such as difficult bosses and colleagues, while remaining true to yourself. Uncover underlying reasons for work-related stress, and chart a course towards greater satisfaction and meaning. Along to way, learn ways to take care of yourself personally, so you can give yourself your best possible chance of success.

Counselling/Therapy Approach

A positive client - centered coaching approach that will focus on bringing out your strengths and identifying concrete strategies to move forwards in a constructive manner. We start with wherever you are 'now' , and your sessions can focus on exactly what you would like to talk about. The matter can be as simple as a single session to clarify a workplace challenge, or a longer set of sessions to delve deeper into your underlying motivators and root out unhelpful beliefs that may be holding you back.

I take a holistic approach to workplace well-being, influenced by my deep understanding of mindfulness and eastern wisdom traditions, which I integrate with a detailed understanding of workplace dynamics and well-being psychology.

Background and Experience

After a number of years spent gaining experience abroad and working for global businesses, I have been working with both businesses and individuals to improve well-being since returning to New Zealand and completing my professional qualifications. My qualifications were completed at the University of Auckland, in conjunction with both the department of Organizational Psychology and Psychological Medicine. I have worked with a wide range of individuals, and developed and published articles on health and well-being, career development and engagement at work, and run a Psychology clinic at the Citizens' Advice Bureau. I am also a registered yoga teacher, and I teach meditation and stress management workshops around Auckland.
