I work with couples and individuals. Issues addressed include grief, depression, anxiety, life crises, PTSD, trauma, childhood issues, abuse, transitions, communication skills.
Research consistently shows that a successful relationship is the most important factor in change, in therapy. Background and Experience
I have worked in the area of mental health and well being for all of my adult life. For fifteen years, I worked as a psychiatric nurse in Porirua Hospital, then in 1990 I began working as a counsellor and later as a clinical supervisor. I have worked with people from all walks of life, and a wide range of issues.
I provide supervision for anyone involved in working with people. I have supervised nurses, social workers, youth workers, residential workers, managers, and people in various roles in NGO's.
I believe supervision is critical in ensuring professional and informed service delivery, alongside developing self awareness and skills..
