Carolyn Cooke

Understanding you, wherever you are.

Hi, my name is Carolyn. I have been a horticulturist most of my life and during this time, I realized that my connection with my gardening clients created strong relationships in which they found a sense of security and trust and would confide in me, things that were too vulnerable to confide in the people closest to them. This was the unconscious start of my journey into the counselling world, not only seeing my own life in a new light, but learning how to assist others to work towards a new awareness and growth in their own lives.

I have experience working with people 18 years and over.  I  practice with a Person-Centred Approach and also use other modalities which include Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Little figures therapy.

I offer a relaxed, safe and non-judgemental atmosphere where you can allow yourself to explore the challenges you face and find acceptance with the past and things that cant be changed. I will walk with you through your struggles and assist you in finding a sense of understanding  and peace.  You decide the pace and what you are ready to talk about in the session.
