I’m a counsellor in Wellington, New Zealand. I grew up in the country just out of Nelson. I’m keen to help people work towards a more preferred story of their lives. I approach counselling in a straightforward, respectful way, and together we can work out what way would be most useful for you.
People can decide to see someone like me for many different reasons. When there are unwanted things in out lives like anxiety; depression; loss; tricky relationships or communication -counselling can be a safe place to explore these, to dump or download in a confidential space, or to problem solve how things could be better.
I believe it’s important that counselling happens in a way that’s relevant to you and how you like to do things. Tikanga, culture, beliefs and everything else that makes you a unique person are all important and I try to work with those is a way that’s helpful for you.
The fit between you and a counsellor is an important factor, so I’m happy for us to have a phone call or zoom if you would like to get a sense of who I am. It wouldn’t be a counselling session but might be useful in deciding whether or not to come to see me.
You’re more than welcome to get in touch with any questions; there’s no pressure to commit to meeting me.
