About me

Originally from a small village out of Nelson, I am currently based in Wellington. I am very interested in working with people to help work through an existing problem or to work towards a preferred future.

My approach to counselling tends to be straightforward easy, and honest. I aim to provide a safe, collaborative environment for people coming to see me.

About counselling

Historically people have sought guidance or support by talking and sharing with others. While counselling is similar to talking to a trusted friend or elder, counsellors are also specifically trained, receive ongoing professional supervision, and are completely private. When there are unwanted things in our lives like anxiety, depression, loss, relationships or communication -counselling can be a safe place to explore these; to dump/download in a confidential space, or to problem solve how things could be better.

I believe it’s important that counselling happens in a way that’s in line with your preferences, your culture, and your beliefs. I also think it’s important that your counsellor is a good fit, so if you’d like get a better sense of who I am as a person, I’m happy for us to have a quick zoom or phone call for that.

You’re more than welcome to get in touch with any questions; there’s no pressure to commit to meeting me.
