Hello! If you are here because something about your life doesn’t feel good, read on to see how I could help.
I am a Clinical Psychologist, which means I use science to help you figure out challenges in your mental and emotional health. I specialise in assessing and supporting adults who resonate with characteristics of ADHD or Autism. My expertise also includes helping people struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, emotions, and cognitive concerns.
I graduated with a Doctor of Clinical Psychology from Massey University and have been practicing Psychology for seven years.
Why does this matter? It means you can expect me to translate evidence-based ideas into real-life, actionable steps and strategies. Strategies that are proven by research to work in equipping you to manage the challenges of life. These include CBT, ACT, DBT, and EMDR. My diagnostic assessments meet the highest New Zealand and international standards. Assessment reports are thorough, detailed, and have been routinely accepted by other health and needs assessment services.
My practice is neurodiversity-affirming in principle and practice – my physical office has a quiet, private waiting room and is set up with soothing sensory objects available to you at any time. You can expect a therapeutic experience that is safe and open-hearted, based in mutual respect, and a genuine interest in your story and helping you thrive in life.
I believe that every one of us has an innate ability to overcome life’s challenges and forge a path towards a fulfilling life. This process often begins with seeking a better understanding of ourselves, discovering strategies that can help us through difficult times, and fostering a kind and compassionate inner voice.
I use evidence-based therapies to help you meet your goals, including:
I have worked in adult community mental health since 2019. I have experience in assessment and treatment of psychological difficulties, and in conducting diagnostic assessments for ADHD and Autism. I also have experience working with stroke survivors and individuals who have experienced a concussion.
